New Mental Health & Allied Professionals Meet-Up Circle Launches
We’re excited to share that our founder, Dr. Elizabeth Carr, has launched a new community initiative: the Mental Health and Allied Professionals Meet-Up Circle — an informal networking group for local licensed professionals who serve the mental health and well-being of individuals and families in metro Maryland.
This new group was created to address a simple need: as rewarding as our work is, it can also be isolating. Having opportunities to connect in a warm, collegial environment helps us all do better work — and strengthens the community of care surrounding our clients and patients.
The Mental Health Meet-Up Circle is open to:
-
Psychologists
-
Therapists / Counselors / Social Workers
-
Psychiatrists
-
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs)
- Primary Care – Family Practice/Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Peds (MDs and Dos)
-
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)
-
Occupational Therapists (OTs)
-
Physical Therapists (PTs)
-
Nutritionists / Dietitians
-
And other allied professionals
There are no dues, no formal membership, and no pressure to attend every event — just occasional coffee gatherings, hosted at rotating locations across our area. Participants are welcome to come when they can and bring a colleague.
Kentlands Psychotherapy is honored to serve as the organizing home for this volunteer-led initiative, with support from our communications team.

We hope to see many of our colleagues — both familiar faces and new ones — at an upcoming event!
