Child and Adolescent Therapist
Jacy Perkins, PMH, CNS-BC, works with children and teens. She obtained licensure as a Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and a Registered Nurse. Jacy completed her education at the Catholic University of America in 1994 and has served children and families ever since. She became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist-Board Certified in December 1995. Ms. Perkins oversaw the Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Program at Children’s National Medical Center for four years. After that, she worked with Patricia Murphy & Associates for 15 years as a Certified Educational Planner. This was followed by 12 years as a therapist at Expressive Therapy Center.
Jacy Perkins, PMH, CNS-BC, has extensive experience assessing and diagnosing children, facilitating groups (particularly for clients on the Autistic Spectrum), providing family and individual therapy, and working with parents to develop behavior plans and contracts. As such, she provides children and adolescent treatment and associated parent support.
Clients report cherishing their work with her for her warmth, expertise, and infectious smile and laughter. Furthermore, Jacy brings creativity to her work that younger clients appreciate and inspires them to stick with therapy long enough to see the fruits of their labor. Parents value her collaboration with them in the service of supporting their child.
