Megan Burleson, PhD, offers her clients a unique portfolio of therapy, coaching, and psychological testing. By prioritizing warmth, authenticity, respect, and dignity in her therapeutic relationships, she creates a non-judgmental space for her clients to explore their inner worlds. Furthermore, Megan utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and client-centered therapies, to reflect her belief that people thrive when they gain insight and feel empowered to be active participants in their own lives.

Dr. Megan Burleson founded the Testing Department at Kentlands Psychotherapy, where she works tirelessly with her testing team colleagues to highlight our clients’ strengths, advocate for their needs, and facilitate meaningful home-school collaborations. Furthermore, her expertise extends to comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations. In her work, when needed, she partners with families and school teams to navigate the complex world of special education and Section 504.

Dr. Megan Burleson graduated from the University of Maryland’s School Psychology doctoral program. Afterward, she worked for Howard County Public Schools, leading therapeutic interventions, psychological testing, and school-wide initiatives, and fostering collaborative relationships between families and schools. She is licensed to care for clients in person and via telehealth platforms in the state of Maryland. She can also provide telehealth services to clients in more than 38 states through her PsyPact designation.
