Dr. Jill Jacobson
Parenting and Adult Therapist
Dr. Jill Jacobson helps clients meet their parenting and personal goals. She offers therapy for adults, counseling, and coaching for various parenting challenges. She has experience and a particular interest in working with parents. Moreover, her expertise shines with parents of young children, parents of children with diagnosed or suspected disabilities, twin parents, and highly sensitive parents and children (HSPs). As a mom of three (including her own set of twins), Dr. Jacobson believes strongly in the need for more resources and individualized support for parents. She strives to improve parent and child mental health. She does this by helping parents destigmatize help-seeking, build solid relationships and support systems, and promote positive discipline practices.
A Message from Dr. Jill Jacobson
“Being a parent is arguably the most rewarding and challenging job you’ll ever have, and sometimes parents need extra support to navigate the tricky situations that come up throughout their parenting journey. Parenting isn’t just about your child–it’s also about you. Parents, and mothers in particular, often give so much that it leaves them feeling depleted and sometimes ineffective at parenting and, more generally, in their lives. You can’t pour from an empty cup, and many good parents need extra support not available from a Google search, parenting book, or social media group. Each phase of your child’s life comes with unique challenges, and we can work together to develop the tools you need to take care of yourself, parent effectively, and experience joy and connectedness with your children and in your other relationships.”
