We’re proud to be one of the DC area’s premier behavioral health psychotherapy practices. Our staff is exceptional in their skills, training, and reputation.

At Kentlands Psychotherapy, we love what we do! We also love to share our knowledge and approach via clinical consultation to those who want to excel in this work!

We offer private paid Clinical Supervision to nearly licensed clinicians as well as Clinical Consultation to Professionals in the field. Go to our scheduling platform and look for “Clinical Supervision and Consultation” under the “Services” options.

Advanced training in specific psychotherapy skills, or with particular populations, with one of our clinical specialists is an incredibly powerful and deeply personal learning experience.

We approach supervision in an intimate and ‘experience-near’ manner.  Rather than simply talking about your client and his or her story, you will be able to move seamlessly between your interpersonal and intrapsychic world and your professional (or educational) life.

During this private learning experience, the clinical supervisor will help you explore the interplay between your prior training and/or clinical work as well as your innermost personal experiences, perceptions, ambitions, and projections.

In this format, you might begin a session discussing what’s going on with your client and how you’re feeling about your work with him or her. But as the discussion evolves you might uncover a past personal experience, its meaning, and how it has been a trigger that helps you to expand your work, accelerate your effectiveness, deepen your compassion, and grow as a human being.

If you are interested specifically in working on your skills in working with adolescents and their unique developmental issues and needs, book an appointment with Nicole Beane, LCSW-C, our Senior Adolescent and Young Adult Therapist. Nicole has an outstanding reputation in the area and is so loved by her families that she often has a waitlist from their referrals.

Daniela Nogales, LCPC, is a child and family therapist who has specialized training in selective mutism. She works with caregivers, teachers, and directors to teach them skills to help children overcome selective mutism. During her “teach session”, she provides an overview of selective mutism, strategies (the do’s and don’ts) to implement in the classroom, and how to implement skills learned to reinforce child’s speaking, gradually, to new/feared person or situations.
