Reuven Rosen, LCSW-C

Reuven Rosen, LCSW-C, is an individual, family, and couples therapist. Reuven has advanced training in ACT and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I),  Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and  Emotionally Focused Family Therapy. He’s a respected Couples Therapist with a deep-seated passion for helping couples achieve healing and positive transformation in their relationships. Reuven’s approach to therapy is centered on leveraging Emotionally Focused Therapy to promote empathy, understanding, and healthy conflict resolution between partners, as well as reignite the spark that initially brought them together. Applying this to support couples of all dynamics, Reuven is ardent about guiding relationships through testing situations, working closely with both sides to understand where they currently stand and where they want to be, and helping them form the right paths to get there.

His Professional History

Before transitioning to mental health care, Reuven attained his Master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins University. There, he began his career as an early grade school teacher. Later inspired to transition into therapy, Reuven earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, completed extensive ACT training and EFT externship training, and has since had the pleasure of supporting couples in diverse stages of their relationships. This ranges from couples looking to restrengthen their bonds, facilitate deeper communication, and evolve as life partners with clarity and openness. In such cases, Reuven uses a careful blend of approaches to truly connect with couples, rectify conflicting patterns, and help them rediscover that once-lost connection. Most importantly, doing so within a warm, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where vulnerable conversations feel safe. Similarly, with families, Reuven offers the same commitment to his work.

His Principles

Overall, Reuven Rosen, LCSW-C, is passionate about mediating growth-rich sessions. He is devoted to ensuring no couple feels like they must navigate their turbulences alone. Also an advocate for lifelong learning, Reuven consistently keeps a firm pulse on professional development. Examples of this include formerly assisting a trainer in EFT with an externship. More recently, he has been working towards becoming a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist. When Reuven is not connecting with clients and continuously finding ways to improve, he enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and their five children. Their ages range from 2 to 14.
