  • Antipsychotics: Antipsychotics are prescribed to individuals who suffer from manic disorders, schizophrenia, and more. These medications alter brain chemistry by way of neurotransmitters. Antipsychotics help manage psychosis and other detrimental behaviors.
  • Mood Stabilizers: This category of pharmaceuticals is often prescribes to individuals who suffer from bipolar disorder. These medication help to even out the manic phases associated with the illness. Mood stabilizers also help the body regulate mood for longer periods of time.
  • Psychostimulants: These medications are often prescribed to people who suffer from ADHD and sleep disturbances. Psychostimulants will alter the brain by way of certain neurotransmitters that stimulate the central nervous system. Proper stimulation will improve focus while helping a person stay awake and alert.
